Cheghu goats are recognized for pashmina production in India. These goats have been studied with respect to the production and reproduction traits. Growth traits which are available early are very important economic traits and could serve as indicatorfor improvement of the traits that appear at the later age; as there are evidences of association of body weights with fiber production and body measurements with fiber production (Kama et al., 2001). In the present study, attempt was made to study genetic and non-genetic factors affecting the body measurements along with genetic parameters.
