Histochemical studies on liver, lungs and spleen of hydatid cysts (Echynococcus granulosus) infected cattle

摘要

Histochemical study of different parts of liver, lungs and spleen of hydatid cysts (Echynococcus granulosus) infected cattle showed that polysaccharide complex substances, glycogen and protein concentration were reduced in stroma and hepatic cells. No remarkable change was detected in acid mucopoly saccharide concentration. Hydatid cysts infection failed to alter the intensity in the concentration of these substances in different parts of lungs and spleen as compared to control.
