Prescription pricing is an art, not a science. The better the artist, the more likely he or she will be to sell his wares in the marketplace; the poorer the artist the less likely he or she will be. Like the artist, the pharmacist has several guidelines that can be followed to increase the likelihood of selling his/her wares in a competitive marketplace.
