The CAS Key Laboratory of Regional Climate-Environment Research for Temperate East As/a (RCE-TEA) is affiliated to the CAS Institute of Atmospheric Physics. The laboratory strives to contribute to the development of molecular virology, to develop new techniques to control viral diseases with a vital bearing on agriculture and human health. It is to be built into a national center for virological research, as well as a fecund incubator of high-level virologists. The understanding of regulation and mechanism of the adaptation of the East Asia monsoon system to global change; The development of theories and methods for trend prediction of regional environment changes in the upcoming 20-50 years; and, The exploration of scientific routes for the orderly human adaptation: and providing scientific basis for the sustainable development of the country.
