Modeling of an Air Bag Inflator Based on Combustion of Methane-Oxygen Mixture

摘要

A new air bag inflator based on the combustion reactions ofmethane-oxygen mixtures has been developed and modeled. Theperformance of this inflator was evaluated in terms of pressure-timerelationships inside the inflator and in a receiving tank simulatingan air bag as well as the tempera- ture-time relationship in thetank.
