摘要

The quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation technique (QCM-D) and atomic forcemicroscopy (AFM) have been employed to study the interaction of N-tetradecyl trimethylammonium bromide (TdTmAB) with polyelectrolyte multilayers containing poly(sodium 4-styrene sulfonate) (PSS) as the polyanion and either poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) orpoly(diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) as the polycations. The multilayerswere exposed to aqueous solutionsof TdTmAB. This resulted in a selectiveremoval of PDADMAC PSSlayers while layers with PAH aspolycation remained stable. It issuggested that PDADMAC/PSS multilayerscan be employed as strippableprotecting layers.
