New generalized impedance converter (GIC) structures realizable with four and six active components (operational amplifiers (OA) and operational tansconductance amplifers (OTA)) in the grounded and floating configurations, respectively, only three passive elements are derived. The resulting circuits enable a wide range linear tuning of impedance through the control voltage or current of the OTA and are expected to find applications in tunable circuits (filter and oscillator for instance). The viability of the proposed structures has been confirmed by SPICE simulation results.
