Concise theory of radio transmission in the Earth‐ionosphere wave guide

A concise review is given of the theory of propagation of electromagnetic waves in the earth‐ionosphere wave guide. A simple concentrically uniform model is adopted such that the earth's surface and the effective lower edge of the ionosphere are idealized by impedance type boundary conditions.
