Production and analysis of coordination plans using a geographic information system

摘要

The TRANSYT program is one of the most extensively used programsfor the production of signal coordination plans. The impediments tothe development of signal coordination plans are associated with datacollection and data input. GIS offers a natural solution to theseproblems. This paper presents the SIGTRAF system, which uses GIS-Ttechnology for the production of coordination plans using TRANSYT.This system in able to extract topological information from theGIS-T, thus simplifying the Process of coding TRANSYT models.
