Congress Internet forums to focus on fermentation and plant-derived vaccines

Two Internet forums--interactive online discussions--will be conducted prior to the 12th World Congress. The topics are "Creative Fermentation Technology for the Future" and "Plant-Derived Vaccines: An International Health Delivery System" Both arecurrently receiving considerable attention as the linkage between food and health is exploited to improve the quality of life for individuals. To provide food for thought, two world-renowned experts have agreed to prepare white papers on these subjects.The white paper on fermentation technology will be authored by Cherl-Ho Lee, Professor of Food Engineering, Graduate School of Biotechnology, Korea University, Seoul. The white paper on plantderived vaccines will be coauthored by Charles Arntzen, Florence Ely Nelson Presidential Chair and Founding Director, Arizona Biomedical Institute, Arizona State University, Tempe, and Richard T. Mahoney, Research Professor, Arizona Biomedical Institute and School of Health Administration and Policy, Arizona State University, Tempe.
