How Occupants Perceive and React to Noise in Buildings

摘要

This paper sets out to give an indication of those factors which are known to influence human reactions to noise. Furthermore, it recommends the use of annoyance or dissatisfaction as a measure of perceived environmental quality and it recommends the adoption of the Leq unit for noise measurements. Finally, it describes the results of some recent research that has helped to solve some of the problems that have occurred.
