The plug and play feature of both the Transnorm horizontal and vertical SmartSort means that no on site software engineering is required. Now an established part of the Transnorm range, the Transnorm SmartSort is a high-speed divert/merge unit that is manufactured to divert or merge horizontally, whilst the VertiSort will merge vertically. Both units are capable of sorting from a mixed infeed, the horizontal SmartSort at 6,000 units per hour and the vertical SmartSort at 3,000 per hour. Transnorm's philosophy with both units is to market them as complete plug and play systems.
