摘要

"Phishing" is a new terra widely pop-ularized in mainstream media in the second half of 2003. It generally refers to any "sophisticated fishing" type of attack. Microsoft defines it as any type of attack that attempts to lure users to a fake Web site to enter in sensitive information that is then used for identity and banking theft. This normally occurs via an e-mail, directing users to a phishing Web site. The increase of such attacks is alarming, showing a dramatic increase in the second half of 2003. What's really scary is that these attacks are not that sophisticated ― yet!
