Verticillium wilt of grapevine, a new record in New Zealand

Vertillium dahliaeKleb., not previously reported affecting grape-vines in New Zealand, was twice in 1969 isolated from an unthrifty 2-year-old vine in a Hawke's Bay vineyard. Pathogenicity tests in which the isolate consistently produced micro sclerotia in culture are described.
