Efficiencies of Loudspeakers and a Simple Graphical Procedure for Their Calculation

摘要

This paper brings out the significance of assessing loudspeaker efficiencies and their more frequent measurements. Various methods in vogue for the measurement of this characteristic are discussed in brief and the suitability of the directionality pattern method as a standard practice is established. For ease in calculations of loudspeaker efficiencies according to this method, a simple graphical procedure is introduced. For further simplification, adoption of standardized measurement parameters is suggested.
