Preface

摘要

'Infectious Disorders - Drug Targets' is an international journal dealing with the latest developments on all aspects of microbes (virus, bacteria and fungi) and their molecular targets. The journal recently evolved to consider both original and review articles to satisfy the increasing demand of the scientific community in the field. We aim at providing the shortest delay in the review process, with our considerably improved, top-level, panel of outstanding international scientists with different but complimentary expertise. Indeed, 'Infectious Disorders - Drug Targets' strengthened its Editorial Board by adding two sections corresponding to the 'Associate Editors' (Prof. Tumbarello and Prof. Tong) and the 'Regional Editors' (Prof. Amin, Prof. Cao and Prof. Qadri). The task of this 'optimized' Editorial Board will be to improve handling and evaluation of submitted manuscripts, as well as to solicit and promote the upcoming special issues of the journal. Each month, we are now selecting what we think to be the 'best' contribution to the issue; the corresponding article (and authors) being highlighted in the 'Editor's choice' on the journal's website. Our goal in the next few years will be to provide the journal with a variety of special issues and research articles of the best scientific quality and originality. I also would like to thank the staff of our journal, especially Ms. Farwa Batool, Ms. Akber, Ms. Qurat-ul-ain and Mr. Alam, for their important contributions.
