A tableau approach to power system analysis and design

AbstractThe tableau formulation of electronic circuit equations has been shown to be an efficient and useful formulation for circuit optimization. In this paper a tableau based formulation of the static power‐flow equations for a power system is presented. Because of the explicit appearance of all quantities of interest the tableau formulation allows the general statement, and solution, of a variety of power system optimization and design problems without the need to resort to restrictive assumption
