Electronic clinical personal record systems are attracting attention, as information systems that play the essential role in computerization of clinics and hospitals. With an electronic clinical personal record system, the doctor can enter into, and store in, computer memories, those clinical personal records and the related clinical reference papers, which, so far, he had to manually write down, or paste down, on paper record. In a clinical record, various clinical, numerical data of patients, and reference papers concerned, are kept along with imaging information, such as endoscopic images. It is essential that clinical records and related reference papers are stored in a manner that they can be easily and rapidly accessed for reference in diagnosis. This report refers to our newly developed SimCLINIC and SimCLINIC FRex Electronic Clinical Personal Record Medical Imaging Systems, which permit easy and rapid access to the clinical records and related papers of a particular patient. This report also describes the SimCLINIC FUTURE System, the top-of-the-line version of the SimCLINIC Series systems, which permits electronic storage of original image data as well as various pieces of clinical information which doctors are obliged to keep as clinical records.
