Combination chemoradiotherapy for bladder cancer with bladder sparing

摘要

Concomitant chemoradiotherapy is an interesting treatment concept that may be more effective than conventional radiotherapy for muscle invasive bladder cancer and may improve chances of bladder preservation. Early results reported a high complete response rate but 2ndash;3-year follow up shows less promise. Results of randomized trials are awaited.
