Materials Technology Publications, of Watford, UK, has published a comprehensive 565-page report on the refractories industry, entitled European and International Refractories Industry: a market/technology report. The report was published towards the end of 2004, and so includes statistical data up to and including 2003. The main body of the report comprises five chapters: Raw materials demand and suppliers; Trends in user industries; Markets by refractory product; Markets, production, & trade by country; and Company profiles. A set of useful appendices includes currency exchange rates, bibliography, company subsidiary cross reference, company addresses, standardisation, multilingual list of terms used in the refractories industry, and abbreviations.
