Founded by Georg Heinrich Luh in Walluf, west Germany, on 1 October 1933, the company initially established itself as a partner and supplier to the refractory and foundry industries. The company's founder then developed the business to offer natural and iron oxide pigments products, including auxiliary agents and fillers, for the paper industry.
