China's ceramics production has increased rapidly to meet domestic and export market demand, and is now the largest consumer of ceramic raw materials. China is now the "ceramics capital" of the world. It is the world's largest producer and exporter of sanitaryware, tableware, and tiles, and most leading international sanitaryware and tableware manufacturers have established plants or OEM operations in China to serve both domestic and export markets.
