THE STATE COMMITTEE for Property Management of Azerbaijan has announced an investment competition for a barytes enterprise in the Lokbatan settlement of Garadagh district of Baku. According to the committee, preference for the sale of 99.59 percent of Baki Aqirlashdirichi JSC's shares will be given to investors with experience of weighting materials manufacture and a suitable investment programme to cover purchase of new technologies, output quality improvement, equipment restoration, expansion of range of its products, creation of new jobs and social security of personnel. The committee started evaluating applications from 25 June 2008.
