摘要

Tea is a pseopnyte plant i.e. shade loving and especially the Camellia Sinensis var. The optimum pH range for the growth of tea is 4.5 to 5.5 and at this pH range the tea plant uptakes sufficient nutrients for normal growth and better yield. But, dueto removal of leaves by plucking, the soil of tea plant cannot supply nutrients uniformly throughout the whole year and hence the chemical fertilisers of macronutrients (N,P,K), secondary and micronutrients are added in the soil to cover the deficiencyof the nutrients for the tea plant and expected yield.
