On the basis of the differential-thermal analysis, X-ray-phase-studies, and the results on the micro-hardness, it has been shown that the system silver telluride—silver bromide represents a non-quasibinary section of the ternary system silver—tellurium-bromine. The solubility of silver bromide in silver telluride reaches 45 mole at 500°C. The solubility of Ag2Te in AgBr does not exceed 5 mole silver telluride at 350°C. From 80 to 100 mole silver bromide, one observes the formation of a eutectic (345°C and about 82 mole silver bromide). The authors assume the formation of the compounds Ag3TeBr and Ag
