Hollow fiber membrane contactors

摘要

Membrane contractors are devices that achieve gas/liquid or liquid/liquid mass transfer without dispersion of one phase within another. Over the years, membrane contractors have attracted the attention of many interested parties from both academia and industry for a diverse range of applications. As a result, the level of understanding of the technology has remarkably improve since the early studies of blood oxygenation. A general review is given on membrane contractors with the primary focus on hollow fiber modules.
