Preparation and Properties of Lithium-Doped Ceo By Lithium Azide

Lithium-doped C60was prepared by the thermal decomposition of lithium azide (LiN3). The samples of the nominal composition Li4C60and Li8C60showed a Curie-like behavior of ESR intensity, indicating an insulating state. Inevitably, they were not superconducting without a low-field signal (LFS).
