Question: when is a Lotus no longer a Lotus? Answer: when it's been designed, marketed, raced and engineered by a team of people who, until recently, worked for Ferrari - and who are now paid to work for Norfolk's most famous car maker by a conglomerate of bankers from the Far East. Forgive me for sounding cynical about the Ferrari-isation of Lotus, but looking at the number of key people who have defected to Norwich from Maranello during the past six months, it's hard not to wonder whether such a dramatic regime change is what's needed at Lotus right now.
