They do things differently on the Isle of Man, and if the local tourist board has any say in the matter, some things they do very differently indeed. Take what we gotup to there just last week Having crossed the Irish Sea on the local ferry with eight cars entirely free of charge (courtesy of the IOM Tourist Board), we spent three days howling around the island and one full day driving on our own private test track: a seven-mile section of public road that had been closed for us by you-know-who and which, mile for mile, is just about the most mental piece of road I have ever driven on.
