摘要

The objective of this study was to estimate the optimum number of plants per plot for mulberry yield evaluation experiments under irrigated condition with paired row system (150 + 90) x 60 cm. Uniformity trial was conducted to measure the soil heterogeneity. The uniformity assay consisted of 10 paired rows with 40 numbers of plants in each row. The variety V1 planted in (150 + 90) x 60 cm spacing was used for the experiment. Fairfield Smith's law was applied to study the relationship between plot size, in terms of number of plants and coefficient of variation. Log linear model was used to obtain the simplest best fit for the experimental data. The adequate number of plants per plot under paired row system in irrigated conditions for 10 % and 5 % variation in yield is 12 and 20, respectively.
