Microwave amplitude variations were monitored on twenty four hour basis during Mar 1981 to Apr 1983 using Tiruttani-Tirupati communication link situated in Southern India. The probability distribution of scintillation index indicates that the scintillation index during premonsoon is maximum around 0000 hours to 0800 hours IST and it is minimum in monsoon months. The probability of scintillation index shows that at 10 per cent level, the scintillation index is 25 per cent for post-monsoon, 35 per cent for winter, 90 per cent for premonsoon and 15 per cent for monsoon. The structural intensity parameter, Cn2, is deduced from scintillation index and is found to be in the range of 2#xd7;10#x2212;15to 2#xd7;10#x2212;12m#x2212;2/3.
