Grounded and Floating Ideal Inductors with RC Elements

摘要

A scheme of realizing a grounded inductor with an operational amplifier in conjunction with an RC differentiator provided with isolated resistive feedback is presented. A single parameter control can make the inductor lossy, ideal or even with a negative resistance. The circuit when cascaded back to back with an identical one simulates a floating inductor with similar resistive association. Discussions pertaining to circuit stability, parameter sensitivity and component matching are included.
