The splendid account of the USAF-configured Tiger Moth (The Eighth Wonder, March issue) states that the wing-mounted airspeed indicator was not fitted to RAF 'Tiggies'. If my memory serves me right, those with the Grading School at RAF Shellingford in 1946 were fitted with one and the Tiger Moths with No.4 Flying Training School at RAF Heany, Southern Rhodesia, in 1947 most certainly had them.
