摘要

A Monte Carlo simulation has been used for the determination of the gap correction to be applied to the calorimetric measurement of absorbed dose in graphite in a60Co beam. The results show that this correction, which has been neglected so far by most national standards laboratories, is not negligible and depends on many parameters. A comparison with the available experimental data shows a general good agreement.
