A climate chamber is a controlled space for physiological testing of humans or testing the products in industries in response to the environmental parameters such as temperature and relative humidity. A climate chamber can be used as an example of design, simulation, modelling and control of energy systems in a laboratory for research and educational aids. The brief analysis of the mathematical modelling of a climate chamber and designing a microprocessor-based control system has been presented. This project contains most of main points and important concepts of modelling and direct digital control of HVAC systems. The #x201C;three-input three-output multi-variable model#x201D; which is one of the most complete model of an environmental space, has been used. Temperature, relative humidity and air velocity are the variables to be controlled in three independent loops. The design of control loops with different types of linear and non-linear controllers, using the fraction of fresh air with implementation of microprocessor, is a guideline of research in the field of energy systems, air conditioning and environmental science.
