Slaughter and carcass information was obtained on three groups of New Zealand Large White rabbits from a nutritional trial involving the feeding of pasture or pasture supplemented with barley. Carcass weights of rabbits fed pasture, supplemented with barley were more than twice those of rabbits fed pasture alone. Edible meat yields of over 80 were recorded from the barley-fed rabbits, and 13 fat was found in the carcasses of the rabbits on the highest nutritional plane.
