PACT-Udyogamandal is a pioneer in the manufacture of fertilisers, having started operations more than six decades ago. Even though the laws for control of pollution were not even in the conceptual stage at the time the plants Initially were put up, today the company meets all environmental regulations. The following is a description of some of the more important facilities installed in the unit for control of pollution. Efforts of the unit in the environmental field have resulted in awards from the Kerala State Pollution Control Board. The company obtained ISO14001 certification for its Environmental Management System.
