摘要

paraExtensive development and testing are conducted to ensure that electronic safety systems function correctly under all conditions. It in order to do so, simulations are run, which are a cost-effective way to ensure most requirements are met before testing the hardware physically. In the automotive industry, most suppliers believe that whole vehicle testing is particularly important for two key areas of testing: electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). Today's vehicles have an increasing electrical and electronic components, and with it, the increased risks from electromagnetic interference. Safety components must work comfortably in the vehicle without side effects from other components. To avoid distortion of output signals, yaw rate sensors need to be carefully mounted. Vibration testing is also conducted to ensure performance does not degrade over time and not distorted by induced loads. Better mounting and sealing methods of electrical connectors have reduced susceptibility to water ingress and failure under vibration. Actuators used in airbags are run under several process controls to help ensure the initiators are manufactured correctly and operate when needed./para
