Mr Vellayan, Chairman, FAI; Mr. Rajan, Co-Chairman, FAI; Mr.Satish Chander, DG, FAI; Distinguished delegates; Ladies & Gentlemen. It is a privilege and honour for me to be here. As Mr. Satish Chander has said that this is not the first time but earlier also I had the opportunity to address the audience in the closing seminar of FAI. I feel it is indeed a privilege for me. I would also like share some of my ideas with you. This seminar, i.e., the 46th seminar under the theme Reforms in the Fertiliser Sector was particularly interesting and challenging. A major reform is taking place in this country. This country indeed is very important in global fertilizer industry and also in terms of food production, population and food security.
