Major In-Situ Modifications on Benfield Regenerator

摘要

RCF Thai carried out modifications in existing single stage Benfield regenerator to enable operation of two stage GV process. The major jobs required modification in bottom sump area, installation of semi-lean solution and rich solution take off tray, replacement of existing redistributors with new high efficiency redistributors and replacement of existing demister with new demister. The jobs were planned for 15 days for column modifications and 5 days for packing replacement. The articles gives details of the modification work which was completed exactly in 20 days and without any man hour lost.
