Fertiliser Security Sine qua non for Food Security

Driven by the challenges of meeting the increasing requirement of food to the growing population, it has been the goal of Government of India to ensure food security over the years. Thanks to the 'Green Revolution Technology' adopted in mid sixties, the country has reached the stage of self-sufficiency in foodgrain production in addition to significant increase in the production of many other crops.
