Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) policy for P & K fertilisers for 2013-14 was notified on 3rd May, 2013. The rates of NBS per kg of nutrient for N, P, K and S were fixed at Rs.20.875, Rs.18.679, Rs.18.833 and Rs.1.677, respectively, for 2013-14 effective from 1st April, 2013. The NBS is applicable for DAP, DAP (lite), DAP with sulphur, MOP, MAP, TSP, SSP, 14 grades of NP/NPK complex fertilisers and Ammonium Sulphate.
