Salvage chemotherapy for testis cancer

For the one-quarter of patients who fail initial chemotherapy for testicular cancer, early and accurate assessment of failure is feasible. Approximately one-third of these patients can be cured with cisplatin plus ifosfamide combination chemotherapy regimens. Other patients may be cured with high-dose chemotherapy, whereas others will require more innovative approaches.
