Dr Ramesh Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping, PAU, Ludhiana, with a vast experience in R&D in floriculture, has joined as the first Director of the newly-emerged Directorate of Floricultural Research at IARI, New Delhi Campus. Since floriculture has vast potential in our country, it needs focussed attention to meet the challenges in a very competitive global scenario.
