To meet the ever increasing stringent requirements of customers, it was decided to have a trial of "reladling" the liquid steel tapped from Twin Hearth Furnace (THF) with the following objectives:i) to have liquid steel free of tapping slagii) to enhance the quality of rolled products with minimum rejectioniii) to adopt the technology of secondary steelmaking which is a necessity for continuous casting.
