摘要

An account is given of the production of bovine colostrum in New Zealand and the USA, its content of vitamins and immunoglobulins and of its effect on human health. It is suggested that bovine colostrum has a beneficial effect on the human immune system, viral infections, intestinal inflammation, childhood leukaemia and cardiological and circulation disorders, and possibly on the incidence of some types or tumours. It may also be used to stimulate fat metabolism and the development of muscular tissue and does not appear on the list of international Olympic prohibited substances.
