Experts have warned that the wording of the proposed Intellectual Property Bill should change to prevent unnecessary litigation and protect the rights of designers. The bill passed through the House of Lords on Tuesday July 30, 2013 with an amendment to improve defences for defendants who could face 10 year jail terms if found guilty of infringing registered designs.
