A coastal Florida community commissioned an architect to design a series of bridges to span creeks and drainage ditches on its golf course and an adjacent community park. Some of the creeks were quite shallow but were constantly filled with brackish water. The drainage ditches, on the other hand, were quite deep but often had little or no water in them.
