摘要

It has recently been reported that new vitamin D3 derivativesexert inhibitory effects on colon carcinogenesis in rats. Modifyinginfluence of 22-oxacalcitriol (OCT), a synthetic analog of1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, was investigated in a rat coloncarcinogenesis model. In Expe riment 1, the modifying effects of OCTtreatment prior to (pre) and together (simultaneous) with carcinogentreatment were assessed using aberrant crypt foci (ACF), putativepreneoplastic lesions for colon carcinogenesis, in rats.
