World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 160.9 million tonnes (Mt) in December 2020, a 5.8 increase compared to December 2019. Global crude steel production reached 1,864.0 million tonnes (Mt) for the year 2020, down by 0.9 compared to 2019.
